Short Information
Before Breast Augmentation in Turkey
The surgeon will review the medical history of the patient and learn about any conditions and previous treatments. Use of any medication needs to be reported to the surgeon during the examination. Certain medications the patient is using might be changed with other alternatives prior to surgery.
The surgeon and the patient will discuss about the desired outcome in order to achieve a satisfying result. The procedure, possible outcomes and options will be explained to the patient. In addition, the surgeon might also ask for a baseline mammogram.
During Breast Augmentation in Turkey
To place the implant, the surgeon will create a small incision either under the breasts, arms or nipples. The surgeon will then prepare the area for the implant by creating a pocket in front of or behind the chest muscles.
Once the implants are placed, the surgeon will center them using the nipples as reference. Once the implants are positioned, the incisions are closed with stitches. While silicone implants are pre-filled, Saline Implants are placed empty and filled with the solution inside the breast. The surgeon will cover the incision areas with bandages to protect and support the stitches.
After Breast Augmentation in Turkey
Swelling and soreness are normal for the first few days, and the surgeon might prescribe pain medications if needed. Scars will get much better in time, but they will not disappear completely. To hide any scars, surgeons place incisions on areas that are least likely to be seen. If the breasts appear to be red and warmer, the patient should contact the surgeon since it might be a sign of infection.
It can be helpful to use a sports bra or bandage to support the new shape of the breasts. The breasts will be extra sensitive to physical contact during the healing period. It is advised to avoid heavy physical work for the first 2 weeks. Patients can get back to work in a few days if their jobs are not physically demanding.
