Short Information
Before Fat Transfers in Turkey
The surgeon will evaluate the overall health and medical history of the patient. The surgeon might temporarily change some medications the patient is using. Patients will discuss the desired outcome and plan the treatment with their surgeon.
During Fat Transfers in Turkey
Fat tissue is obtained from a 3-5mm incision using the liposuction technique. Most common areas where fat is removed are the abdomen and inner thighs. The removed fat gets processed and pure fat tissue is obtained for the injections.
The surgeon injects the liquid fat tissue to the determined areas. The injection needs to be done with care to make sure the fat tissue is distributed evenly and surrounded well by the other tissues. This will ensure the transplanted fat gets supplied with oxygen and nutrients.
After Fat Transfers in Turkey
Treated areas will be swollen after the operation, also bruised in some cases. Cold compress is recommended for the first hours to minimize the swelling. Swelling will start to fade away around the 3rd day, and the patient can get back to daily routine in 7-10 days.
The surgeon will check the patient in 5-7 days and again 3 weeks. Most of the swelling should be gone during the second check-up, however the results may still look exaggerated. Since about 25% of the fat cells injected won’t survive, the injections are made with more fat than needed. In about 3 months, the cells that didn’t survive gets absorbed by the body and permanent results appear.
