Biography
Prof. Dr. Fahri Erdoğan started his medical career at Istanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1978 and in 1991 he started serving the same university as an Orthopedics and Trau-matology specialist.
He focused his studies on surgical treatments of knee and hip, and gained surgical experience by working in various hospitals and universities with good reputations including;
Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan in 1990
Bradford Royal Infirmary, Bradford, England in 1991
Hannover Medical School, Hannnover, Germany in 1994
Cornell University Hospital of Special Surgery in 2001
In 1998 he became Associate Professor and in 2006 he earned the title Professor in one of Turkey’s best medical faculties, Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty on Istanbul University.
He focused his career on knee and hip replacement surgeries and in years he became an expert on orthopedic diseases such as joint dislocations, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis etc.
Currently, he continues his international medical work as an instructor and consultant surgeon for firms such as Zimmer Biomed and Smith & Nephew.
